Foundation Governors

Lynn Collins joined the Governing Body in 2018. She has lived in Lesbury since 2009 and retired from a career in the pensions industry in 2014. She is a Trustee Director of Northumberland Citizens Advice, studies textiles at college and has a large garden which takes much of her spare time.

Having recently moved to Northumberland, Rev’d Nathanael serves as Assistant Curate in the Coastlands group of parishes - including Longhoughton Church. This is his first time as a school governor but he joins the board with experience of charity trusteeship in an educational setting. Having been lead for inclusion and diversity in Durham County Scouts and Regional Coordinator for Inclusive Church in the North East, Nathanael comes with attention to both the generous and open religious character of the school, but also an interest in the holistic development of young people as both local and global citizens. He is passionate about seeing young people grow in confidence, resilience and love for both self and one another.

Rev Alison Hardy

I’m delighted to be joining the Governing Body following the retirement of Rev Ian MacKarill. I am the Priest in Charge of the Embleton Benefice just further north up the coast and working with the Aln and Coastal Parishes, which includes Longhoughton, on strengthening links and developing partnerships in ministry and mission.

I have been a school Governor for over 25 years, serving both community and church schools. My particular passion is for making connections between life and faith in practical ways, recognising our common purpose to support all our children in their development as responsible and committed individuals with a broad, compassionate and generous world view.

I’m really looking forward to meeting the staff and children and sharing in the life of the school.
